Privacy Policy

TapWorkout is engineered with total local data sovereignty. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal, health, or location data. Everything stays on your iPhone.

1. Data We Collect

None. TapWorkout does not collect personal identifiers, usage telemetry, crash logs, or analytics. There are no user accounts, no registration forms, and no backend servers operated by Benum Labs AS.

2. Apple HealthKit Data

TapWorkout interacts with Apple Health via official iOS HealthKit APIs with your explicit system permission:

• Writing Workouts: The App writes workout session records (activity type, start time, end time, elapsed duration, distance, and elevation gain) directly into your personal Apple Health database.
• Reading Workouts: The App reads workout session state strictly to manage active sessions and Live Activities.

HealthKit data is never sent off your device, never uploaded to external servers, and never shared with third parties or advertising networks.

3. Location Data (GPS)

For outdoor activities (Walking, Running, Cycling, Hiking), TapWorkout requests location access to calculate distance, speed, and GPS route data during active workout sessions. Location data is processed on-device and written directly to your HealthKit workout record. It is never logged to external servers or accessible to Benum Labs AS.

4. In-App Purchases (StoreKit)

Purchases to unlock additional activity types are processed directly by Apple through StoreKit 2. We do not use third-party billing services or trackers. Payment details and Apple Account information are handled exclusively by Apple according to Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Children's Privacy

TapWorkout is a local utility tool that collects no information from any user, including children under 13.

6. Data Deletion & Control

Because TapWorkout stores no data on remote servers, managing your workout records is done entirely through Apple's native Health app on iOS. You can view, edit, or delete workout records at any time directly in Apple Health. Deleting TapWorkout removes its local sandbox preferences.
